Hands-on Learning

Science on a River (SOAR) 501c3 and the Education Center is an innovative science, technology, and urban ecology educational destination operating as an extension to Visit Sheboygan’s new Visitor Center.

Located on riverfront property, just blocks away from Lake Michigan, the STEAM Education Center will provide clean energy, eco-tourism, urban ecology, and water-related recreation exhibits, interactivities and learning opportunities through self-directed and guided tours, team building and professional development workshops, K-12 field trips, summer camps, and ROV explorations of shipwrecks and habitats. The opportunities and advantages that the STEAM Education Center will provide to Sheboygan and the surrounding areas include economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and recreation.
